The CrossFit Program was developed "to enhance an individual's competency at all physical tasks." But so much more than that happens at a CrossFit gym. While it is definitely true that CrossFit will make you stronger, faster, more powerful, and healthier physically, the really remarkable changes happen at a much deeper level.
Every day we see people pushing themselves beyond physical challenges that seemed impossible at the outset. And over time these same people tell us that the confidence they have gained at the gym starts to surface in other areas of their lives. Things they encounter outside the gym that may have seemed "impossible" become possible. The difficult becomes routine. A big part of what facilitates this internal transformation is the community that they are a part of at the gym.
The FCCF community is incredibly supportive. The people we have met at FCCF have challenged us to be our best, and they push us and each other to give 100% every time we work out. Whether you are an elite athlete, or struggling to just step up on a box -- the support is always there.
In the time that has passed since we opened the gym, we have been privileged to see people gain confidence by pushing themselves through workouts they never thought they could complete. We have seen people give generously of their time and efforts to raise money for charities - local and remote. We have seen physical transformations at all stages of life. We have seen friendships - new and old - grow deeply through shared experiences. It has really been a blessing to be part of it all.
And so, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our CrossFit friends. Thanks for being a part of our lives and for letting us be part of yours! Cheers!
